What I find interesting about your project is the work you've put into developing the personas. People want to work with people, but increasingly, the people we think we are working with are assisted by AI and as you said, that's an interim step. It's now possible to create a completely believable human-like AI thought leader, analyst, or influencer with individual quirks, habits and biases.

I left "knowledge work" and "content creation" because I felt like John Henry all the time. I couldn't beat the steam engine. That ended up giving me more comfort with what AI could do to support my (diminishing) online life, so I could focus on the physical world.

Thanks, Deirdre.

Yes, the moment you "anthropomorphize" with names, pictures, and personas, the relationship with the tools change.

And hear you on feeling like John Henry!

The world certainly doesn't need "more words." I do think it still benefits from well-chosen words and personalities and views people enjoy. But AI is getting rapidly better at that, too.

I do think that the "physical world" — specifically, working with other humans (and AI) — is where many of the word-production jobs will move. And my hope is that AI frees us to focus on the things that only humans can do.

Regardless, the next 5-10 years will be fascinating.
